Biography
My parents are originally from Veracruz, Mexico, but I grew up in the Pleasant Grove neighborhood of Dallas, Texas.
In high school, I was the sassy nerd who studied everything from graphic design courses to AP math and science courses to violin. In my senior year of high school I created a pomodoro timer for the AP Computer Science exam, which solidified my love for programming.
I attended college at Texas A&M University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. At college, I was president of TAMU UNICEF, a service organization dedicated to improving the lives of children both locally and globally.
I currently work as a software developer for Publicis Sapient. In my spare time, I like to make apps, cook authentic Mexican food, and play Dead by Daylight with friends.
Mission Statement
My goal is:
Values
Inspired by my journey into UX design, I've devised a set of principles that I use to ensure high-quality in all of my work. Every experience I create must be: delightful, learnable, efficient, effective, accessible, memorable, and aesthetic.

Method
You may have noticed that I don't advertise myself as a software developer, designer, humanitarian, etc. I see no reason to limit myself to only creating one type of experiences, especially when (A) each of serves as a viable means to achieving my purpose and (B) each one enriches the next. Whether it's writing code, organizing fundraising events, or simply exchanging witty banter, my end goal never changes.
Purpose
The universe that we find ourselves on is truly random place, with an ever-shifting imbalance of good and bad. I am an extension of the universe itself, dropped into existence to witness every beautiful and morbid expression. In addition, I also carry the power to influence that imbalance with my own hands — to take what’s broken and try to make it better, to turn darkness into light, to spread joy where I can.
